Got the Honda home nice and safe. Picking it up from the port was an awesome experience, pretty cool seeing all the stuff other people were importing. Lots of subaru’s, some R34’s, a couple S15’s and S2000’s. There was also probably 30 or so 2017 R35 GTR’s with the new facelift, all fresh off the boat.
The car is pretty great, I’m glad I held out for such a nice unit, even if it took me 6 months. It’s been repainted but looks excellent, and has a new top which I’m really happy about. Next step is getting an out of province inspection done on it, so I’ll be doing a once-over of everything first as well as figuring out some daytime running lights.
I’ll post some more pics once I start cleaning it up.
My Beat cleared customs, so this Thursday I’m gonna go down to Vancouver with a truck and trailer to pick it up. I had to borrow my grandpa’s rollback because the car’s actually too narrow to fit in my trailer. Will post more pics once I get it.
Beat Update:
One of the rear tires had a slow leak so I put 2 new ones on before it left, just so there wouldn’t be any problems at the dock.
It left Japan from Kawasaki yesterday, should arrive in Vancouver on March 30. After that it’ll take 5 days to clear customs, then I’m driving down with a truck and trailer to pick it up.
I’d love to drive it back, but I don’t know what the brakes, timing belt, diff fluid, wheel bearings, etc look like and I don’t really want to be broken down 10hrs from home, trying to source parts for a car that’s only 1 of 9 in the country.
Have a pic that I probably already posted
